1. Current status of sport psychology
Learning Outcome
Students will demonstrate a basic understanding of the current status of the discipline of sport psychology and of the psychological theories that inform it, including behavioral principles and applications, social psychology, personality psychology, assessment, special athletic populations, coaching, and exercise psychology.
Measurement: In-class exams on assigned textbook reading.

2. Familiarity with journals
Learning Outcome
Students will demonstrate familiarity with selected sport- psychology journals.
Measurement: Author a paper that combines a literature review with application to a sport-performance environment.

3. Current events
Learning Outcome
Students will identify and discuss current events related to sport psychology.
Measurement: In-class reports and discussion of video clips or other media reports relevant to sport psychology.
