Intermediate Low Proficiency

Learning Outcome

Russian 201-202 are focused on developing learners' proficiency in speaking, reading, listening, and writing. These courses also focus on developing learners' cultural sensitivity. By the end of each course, students will: 1. speak, read, listen, and write at a level equivalent to Intermediate Low or higher on the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) proficiency scale.

Basic Aspects of Russian Grammar

Learning Outcome

2. Demonstrate increasing control over basic aspects of Russian grammar, such as case usage, verbal conjugation, tense and aspect in controlled settings. This growing accuracy will allow them to begin narrating personal experiences.
