Original Research: Capstone Experience
Learning Outcome
Based on the model developed in Soc 455R, students will analyze quantitative or qualitative data using appropriate methods and software, drawing meaningful sociological insights from their findings.

Research Writing and Argumentation
Learning Outcome
Students demonstrate their research and writing proficiency through the production of a comprehensive and well-organized research paper with a clear argument, methodology, analysis, and conclusion grounded in sociological theory and empirical data.

Professional Presentation and Practical Application
Learning Outcome
Students will develop and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate their research findings through academic and professional formats, such as research papers, conference presentations, or visual products like posters. They will also articulate how the sociological skills they have acquired-such as critical thinking, data analysis, and theoretical application, can be appropriately applied to academic or practical contexts.
